The Dunedin Rifle Club fired their opening match, President v. Vice-President, on Saturday afternoon, and notwithstanding very the unfavorable weather some thirteen members took part. The ranges fired at were 200yda, 400 yds, and 500 yds ; five shots at each range. The Vice-President’s side were victorious by 19 points, the totals being Vice-President, 283; President, 264. Alves was the highest scorer for the President’s side with 50 points, and Vivian for the Vice-President’s with 44 points.
