Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to any necessary alterations as under Local mails between Dunedin and Oamaru, also those for the Naseby linn, will close at 7.15 a.m., and be forwarded by the 7.45 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, overland daily, at 10.30 a.m., at Chief Post Office. Late letters, guard’s van. North express train, at 11 a.m. The Post Office, Dunedin North, will be cleared at 10 a.m. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE. Wednesday, October 16.
The contract steamer lonic will leave Wellington for Plymouth via Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, October 17. Mails close here as under
For United Kingdom and Foreign Countries via the United Kingdom, etc,, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 16th. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m, on Tuesday, 15th. Money orders at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, loth, Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 16kh. The above mail will close at the Branch Post Office, Dunedin North, for money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 15th, and for letters at 9.30 a.m. and newspapers at 5,30 a.m, on the 16th, At the South Dunedin Office, for money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 15th; and for letters and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 16th. At the Port Chalmers Office, at 8 a.m. on the 16tb, money orders at 4 p.m , and registered letters at 5 p m. on the 15th. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (6d) as a late fee can be posted in the mail van attached to the North train leaving Dunedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the ICth.
