The ‘ Scientific American ’ states that a tnan named Johnston has found on bis farm 1 in Bush Valley a mine of natural shoe blacking material in a moist and soft condition, ready for use; and that by means of it a fine dark polish, which is not easily destroyed, may be rapidly produced in the usual way on the uppers of leathern boots and shoes
