ONCE TOO OFTEN.

At the Police Court to-day a man named W. Powell, a cabinetmaker, was sentenced to twenty-eight days’ hard labor for stealing firewood from a neighboring baker. He had been long suspected and often watched, and had even been warned, when be replied that the police were not smart enough to catch him. Sergeant Livingstone, however, caught him in the act at 4.30 a.m, to-day.
