Sugar is selling in trade parcels up to L2Blos for snowdrop, For tea the inquiry is limited. Dried fruits are much firmer; currants bring 4Jd. sultanas s&d, elemes 5Jd. In beers, stout is in particularly good demand. Dresaed rice has met with notice—we quote Ll2; Patna up to Ll6 (all in bond). Woolpacks are being offnredupto2s 3d. Coarse castor oil in small lots is worth 3s 61; raw and boiled linseed, 3s Id and 3s 3d.
The Perpetual Trustees, Estate, and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, report the following sales:—Sections 18, 19, 20, block 8, and section 28, block 9, Toitoia diste'et, containing 570 aoreß, at a satisfactory price. Sections 6, 6, and part of section 1, block 1, and sections 1 and 2, block 9, North Tuakitoto distriot, containing 261 aeres, at L 5 per acre. James Samßon and Co. report having sold, at thf-ir room?, allotment 9 and part of allotment 10 and building thereon, at St, John's Wood, to Mr Fraser, for Lll3los.
THE LONDON MARKETS
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable from their London office, dated 20th inst,:—" The bulk of the wheat harvest has been secured in good condition. New Zealand average is worth 33s 9d per 4961b. All descriptions of rabbitßkins have advanced about 2d per lb since last report. The tallow market is quiet. Good mutton tallow is worth 27s 3d per owt. Good beef tallow is worth 26s 6d per cwt."
