TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Prom whatever source you received your information for the local in last night's paper, it was not quite correct; iu fact, it appeared to have been tupplied with a motive. Many items of importance were left out, particularly the remark of Mr Hugh Brown, for which he was very rightly hissed. It is not my intention, however, to lay before the public all that transpired, as I think it preferable to wash our dirty linen at home, nevertheless I must contradict the latter part of the report, which says that Mr Henderson's amendment was carried "by a large majority.'•' Nw> the fact is it was carried by one vote only.— \ atrii etc., A Member.
