South Dunedin.— At the meeting on Monday night it was resolved that the inspector be instructed to take proceedings at once against persons found removing nightsoil.—ln answer to the Tramway Company, it was decided to permit a temporary reduction pi fare between Manse street and both the Ocean Beach and Cayeraham termini to Id, leaving the company at liberty to at any time raise the fare.—The following committees were appointed ; Finance, Sanitary, and Reserves—Crs Osborn, Fisher, and Baker; Works—Crs Marlow, Fiddes, and Hallam ; Water, Gas, and Fire Brigade—Crs Cossens, Davie, and Robertson.
