AN EDUCATION BOARD HARD UP.
NAPIER, September 17.
At the Education Board to-day a resolution that application be made to the Minister as to the earliest possible date when the building grant will be allocated, as the Board have overdrawn L 2.000 with no money for .necessary repairs..' Many of the schools are falling to pieces for want of repairs, while there is no money in hand to erect schools with where urgently needed. All demands from school committees for money have been postponed pending the Minister's reply. Many children are unable to attend the schools for want of room.
