The action in which T. G. M'Carthy, brewer, claimed L 6.000 from the Wellington Corporation as damages for polluting a stream which runs through his property was decided on Saturday. The jury awarded plaintiff L 250 for deprivation of water rights, and 40s as damages for creating a nuisance. The question of costs was reserved. Mind-reader Bishop's estate wib worth only LSO.
