At a meeting st Auckland yesterday of A. Layhourne's creditors a long report made by Mr Arthur Hassell w?s read. It stated that his examination of the hooks in the estate showed that some of the entueß were of a questionable character, and that it was evident that the irregularities were tho result of design rather than incompetency. It was also evident than debtor was insolvent at tho end of April, l;-SO. It was decided to print tho report prior to the adjourned meeting.
