FIRE AT HALFWAY BUSH.
Bunting's Hotel and store, Halfway Bush, were burnt to the ground thi3 afternoon. _ The building and dwelling-house were insured in the National Oflico for L 750, L 250 of which is reinsured in the Norwich Union Office. The Equitable Company had a risk of L'2oo on the furniture.
Sunflower seeds are said to be an irresistible bait for rats. Traps baited at night with these seeds will be found crowded with rats in the morning.
