Post Office Notice.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to any necessary alterations as under:—
Local mails between Dnnedin and Oamarn, also those for the Naseby lino, will close at 7,15 a.m., and be forwarded by the 7.45 a.m. train.
For Northern Porta, overland daily, at 10.80 vin., at Chief Post Office. Late letters, guard’s »an. North express train, at 11 a.m. The Post Office, Dunedin North, will bo cleared at 10 a.m.
Thubsdat, September 12. For Southland. Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc.—Per Manapouri, at 3 p.m. Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), registered letters, and newspapers, at 3 p.m. Late letters, guard’s van, Port Chalmers train, at 3.35 p.m. Fbidat, September 13. For Akaroa.—Per Mahinapua, at 443 p.m.
The registration fee has now been reduced to 3d.
The steamer TVaipara will leave Hokitika for Okaritoand Southern ports, etc., on the 7th October. (Signed) Edw. D. Butts, Chief Postmaster.
