The annual general meeting of (fin Cans.brook Cricket Club will be held on Saturday evening next. The following will be embodied in the report to he submitted to and confirmed by members That the club make application this coming season for half the ground and one side of the pavilion." It is to bo regretted that so little support is given by the public to the game of cricket, as the ordinary revenue of a club ia not sufficient to meet the expenses of keeping up a first-class cricket ground. JjAn announcement of interest to cricketers is made to-day by the Dunedin Amateur Ground Company. The Carisbrook Club have determined to be content with half the Carisbrook Ground and privileges, and consequently the company are desirous of securing another tenant. The privileges they offer recommend themselves.
