[Per United Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, September 9. Mr Daniel Oxley, member of the wellknown ship-chandlers’ firm, died rather suddenly yesterday from an attack of pneumonia. The Kauri Timber Company have received advice of the satisfactory sale of their first shipment of timber to Glasgow, which has fetched an all round price of 2s 8d per cubic foot. This gives a very good return. Captain Fairchild reports that all the provision depots at the Kermadecs were visited and found intact. TIMARU, September 9, The jury, in the double suicide case, found a verdict of temporary insanity. Deceased were last seen alive on Sunday, August 25, therefore they were probably dead twelve days when the bodies were found.
