[Per United Press Association.] FEILDING, September 2. The opening of the Maori church at Aorangi yesterday was attended by a large number of visitors from Feilding. The Rev. Mr Williams (Wanganui) assisted. The ceremony was most impressive About a thousand Maoris and Pakehas were present. AUCKLAND, September 2. The criminal session was opened to-day by Mr Justice Conolly, who congratulated the Grand Jury on the remarkably light calendar. The most serious cases are against Dean and Morrow for misappropriating Corporation funds.
