The volunteer corps of the Dunedin district paraded at the Garrison Hall yesterday afternoon, and afterwards marched to Knox Church, whero divine service was held. Dr Stuart was the preacher, and gave an impressive sermon, earnestly urging his hearers to obey the injunction contained in the text. The companies, after sorvice, were headed by the Ordnance and Garrison Bands, pnd marched back to the Garrison Hall, where they were dismissed. The corps paraded as follows : Staff.—Colonel Wales, Majors Bill Jack (iu command) and Gordon, Surgeon Will, Staffmajor Harrison, and Sergeant-majer Slowley, Bands.—Garrison Band: 1 bandmaster, 1 surgeon, 33 bandsmen; total, 35. Ordnanca Band: 1 bandmaster, 27 bandsmen; total, 28. Highland Rifles Band: 5 pipers. OBDNANCK. Dunedin Naval Artillery.— 1 lieutenant, 1 sergeant, 1 sergeant-major, 4 corporals, 1 bugler, 49 gunners ; total, 57. Peninsula Naval Artillery. 1 captain, 1 lieutenant, 1 rergeant - major, 2 corporals, 1 bugler, 3t gunners ; total, 37. B Battery.—l captain, 1 sergeant-major, 3 sergeants, SO gunners ; total, 35. Dunedin Engineers.—l captain, 2 lieutenants, 1 sergeant-major, 2 sergeants, o corporals, 2 buglerß, 29 gunners ; total, 40. FIRST BATTALION. City Guards.—l captain, 1 lieutenant, 3 sergeants, 28 rank and file; total, 33. North Dnnedin Rifles.—l captain, 2 lieutenants', 4 sergeants, 30 rank and file; total, 37. Highland Rifles —1 captain, 2 lieutenants, 1 color-sergeant, 4 sergeants, 1 bugler, 36 rank and file; total, 45.
