WELLINGTON, August 24. Mr Jellicoe made application in Chambers yesterday to have the libel action of Bell v. Jellicoo tried by some other Judge th.au Mr Richmond, on the ground that the latter was prejudiced against him. He, however, withdrew the application to-day. It is understood that if the police perjury cases go to tho Supreme Court the defendants will apply for a change of venue in consequence of local feeling over tho Chemis case.
