[Per United Press Association.] TIMARU, August 20. The Supreme Court opened this morning. There are five cases, including one of burglary at a hotel and larceny, and the forgeries of Birrell (clerk to the Deputy-Assignee). Sir E. Stout defends Birrell. Au old offender named O’Halloran was sentenced to four years’ penal servitude for a hotel till robbery.
