The report was adopted. The balance-sheet waß also adopted. An extraordinary genoral meeting of the company was then held to pftHj the following resolution;—" That it has been proved, to the satisfaction of the company, that tho Carisbrook Ground Company, Limited, cannot, by reason of itß liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up volun*M?'Rosb made a lengthy statement to the effect that in all probability there would be a small surplus. There was, he assured the meeting, more chance of that than a deficiency. Mr HOHKISG proposed the above resolution, j Mr Haitian D seconded, and it was carried unanimously.
