INVERCARGILL, August 15,

At tho Supreme Court this afternoon the second jury that was cmpannelled in the case of John Willis, charged with arson, brought in a verdict of guilty. Prisoner was sentenced to seven years’ penal servitude.

The civil case Jenkinson (of Dunedin) v. Campbell was a claim for the possession of land inherited by plaintiff through tho death of his father. A settlement was arrived at out of Court, defendant agreeing to accept LlO and give up possession, each party paying his own costs.
