VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.

There was a good muster of No. 1 Company Dunedin Highland {titles last evening at their monthly inspection, Lieutenant Henderson in command. The inspecting officer expressed himself as being highly pleased with the manner in which the accoutrements and arms were kept, and also with the cleanliness of the uniforms. After inspection the company were exercised in marching past by Staff-sergeant Harrison. The marching was fairly well done, but tho ground was too muddy and rough for really good marching. A church parade has been arranged. Tho North Dunedin Rifles mustered at the Water of Leith Drill-hall last evening for tho monthly Government inspection. Tho following was the attendance .-—Captain M‘Nab, Lieutenants Myers and Johnston, 1 color-sergeant, 4 sergeants, 1 bugler, and 43 rank and file ; total on parade, 52.
