LARRIKINS IN ROSLYN.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—l cannot allow to pass unnoticed such a misstatement of facts as appeared in your issue of Saturday last in a letter signed " Lithe and Active," who complains that the larrikins in Kaikorai district are frightening young women, knocking at windows, etc. lam afraid your correspondent has got the wrong end of the yarn this time. lam inclined to think that he has been fooled on this occasion, and might have been putting his time tb better usethan in listening to gossip. _ I may further add that the Kaikorai district is well looked after, and venture to state there is little passes the eye of the local peace officer. I say without fear of contradiction that we are quite safe in his hands ; so there is no need for carrying loaded sticks.—l am, etc., Clara. Kaikorai, August 9.
