A TERRIBLE MISTAKE.
MASTERTON, August 10,
Mrs George Tait accidentally poisoned herself last night. She partook of some pancakes at tea time which she had mixed with arsenic instead of baking powder. She died at midnight in great agony. The husband is away working up country, fle kept arsenic in the house for dressing birdskins, which he stuffs. The bottles were somewhat alike containing the arsenic and baking powder ; hence the fatal mistake.
