IMPROVED DREDGING PROSPECTS.

[Prom Our Own Correspondent] ARROWTOWN, August 9. Splendid dredging prospects have been found en the beaches and flats of the Kawarau River, between the Morven Ferry and the mouth of tbe Shotover River. The gold ie said to be lying on the surface, while in many places millions of tons of auriferons gravel are now lying exposed ready for the dredge to treat. The severe frost has so dried up the river that an enormous area of gold-bearing drift hitherto hidden is now exposed.
