Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to any necessaiy alterations as under: — Local mails between Dunedin and Oamaru, also those for the Naschy line, will close at 7.15 a.m., and be forwarded by the 7.45 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, overland daily, at 10 80 a.m., at Chief Post Office. Late letters, guard’s ''an, North express train, at 11 a.m. The Post Office, Dunedin North, will be cleared at 10 a.m. Friday, August 9, For Akaroa, per Grjffton, at 4.45 p m.
SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. Friday, August 9. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, the United Kingdom via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, United States of America, Canaria, South America, and West Indies, etc., at 10 a.m. Book packets and newspapers at 9.30 a.m. on Friday, the 9th. late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (6d) as a late fee, can bo posted in the mail van attached to tho North train, leaving Dunrdin railway stition at 11 a.in. on Friday, the 9th. Tho above mail will clo c c at tho Branch Post Office, Dunedin North, for letters at 9.30 a.m. and newspapers at 5 30 a.m. on tho 9:h. At tho South Dunedin Office, for letters and newspapers at 5 a.m. on tho 9th. At the Port Chalmers Office, at 8 a.m. on tho 9th, Tho Richtttond leaves Auckland for Tonga, Samoa, and Tahiti about the 11th inst. (.Signed) Edw. D.
