Lizard, was remanded to gaol today to await the arrival of a man-of-war. the verdict in the case of Barrett was “Suicide while in a state of unsound mind.” INVERCARGILL, August 7. Several prizetakers at the poultry show have been disqualified owing to the discovery that the legs of fowls (dorkiug and leghorn) liad been painted. One offender took refuge in Adam’a excuse, and blamed his wife.
