The latest rumor is that Mr Hislop will temporarily assume the Attorney-General-ship, Sir F. Whitaker becoming Colonial Secretary. This would enable Mr Hislop to be appointed to the vacant Judgeship, as he could not be appointed a Judge under the Disqualification Act without assuming the Attorney-Generalship,
