THAMES, July 24.
Mr M'lntyre, Government Audit Inspector, has made a semi-official statement to the Borough Council and Harbor Board re the extent of F. C. Dean's defalcations. It shows the total amount to be L 2,495, made up as follows:—In Harbor Board for past two years and a half, LB7B ; Borough Council, two years and three months, L 1,617. The hooks have not yet been audited beyond these periods. WELLINGTON, July 24.
The cable message this morning regarding the re payment of the 5 percent, loans means that the ordinary course will be followed of raising a loan for the Bpscial purpose of paying off the debenture-holders of the old stock. This loan will be offered at ty per cent.
