For Northern Porta, overland daily, at 10 80 a.m., at Chief Post Office. Late letters, guard's <T»n, North express train, at 11 ».m. The Post Office, Dunedin North, will be cleared at 10 a.m.

The contract steamer Doric will leave Wellington for Plymouth via Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, July 25. Mails close here as under : For United Kingdom and Foreign Countries via the United Kingdom, eto., at 10 a,m. on Wednesday. 24th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on Wednefday, 24th. The above mail will clofe at the Branch Post Office, Dunedin North, for letter* at 9.30 a.m. and newspapers at 5.80 a.m. on the24th. At the South Dunedin Office, letters and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 24th. At the Port Chalmers Office, at 8 a.m. on the 24th. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (6d) as a late fee can be posted in the guard's van attached to the North train leaving Dunedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the 24th.
