THE CALEDONIAN GATHERING.
TO the kditob. Sir,—Allow me to make a few remarks anent your report of the Colcdonian Society'd meeting in Saturday's Stah. I not ced vith pleasure that the society intend giving separato prizes for piobaireachds, marches, ftrathspeys, and reels, but that there is to be no clnngo in dancing. Now, in dancing the Scotch reel competitors have to dance three days for one prize. Well, I hardly think that is fair. I trust that at the annual gathering the society will have competent judges, who will give fair decisions, and thus avoid the scandal of a paper war such as oocurred after last meeting.—l am, f to., Justice.
