ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
WELLINGTON, July 17. A man named George Hutt, while engaged bnsfafelling at Manukau, was struck ; a tree and killed. John Staples, of W. and J, Staples, of Wellington, died yesterday of inflammation cf the lungs. Captain Grant, who was well known ia the China trade, but who has for some years retired from marine life, died last night.
