Although tho weather is against prospecting operations being carried on several quartzreelera from Nenthorn are now on the ground, and two or threo Dunedin speculators have visited the scene of the discovery. About four miJes of the reef in a direct line have been pegged off. There was a heavy fall of bbow here last night, and at Waitahuna it was particularly heavy, being from twelve to fifteen inches deep on the high ground.
