EXHIBITION CONTRACTS.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— As a shareholder, I protest against the slow way in which the contracts for the above buildings are proceeding. If the Exhibition is to be opened in November, the buildings ought to be completed in another ten or twelve weeks’ time, and this would only allow five to six weeks to arrange exhibits, which is none too long. There is no excuse for want of men, as the town seems literally swarming with both carpenters and painters seeking work.—l am, etc., Shareholder. Dunedin, July 5.
