Thirty thousand weavers engaged in the woollen manufactories in, Moravia, a province of Austria-Hungary, have gone out on strike, demanding an increase of wages, MONETARY AND COMMERCIAL. LONDON, Jbl* I The weekly returns of the Bank of England show the reserve in notes and bullion to be L 14,384,000, being a decrease of 11,004,000 compared with the previous week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 41J per cent. Consols, 08£. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 105J, with an active market. Australian wheat (ex store), 38s 9d; New Zealand long-berried (ex store), 38s 6d. Copper is quoted at Wl 10a per ton. Tin: Australian, LB9 per ton. Sugar: German beet, 27s 9d; Java, 255. Iron: Best Scotch pig (No, 1 pieces, f.o.b. in Clyde), 41s 9i.. -The tallow market is flat. Best miltton; 27s 6d to 28s; best beef, 26s 6d to 275. »
