Sir, I should have thought that the contractors for the main Exhibition Building would have replied to mine in your issue of the 25th, but Messrs M'Leod and Shaw merely reply in vague generalities, and do not conf ate in any way my statement that the rate of wages ranges from 2s for boysjand 4s and 5s for young men. I oannot understand what they mean by "mis-statements." However, if they are in a position to deny that this is or has been the case, let them do so through your columns, and I will cease " growling," as they politely oall it.—l am, etc., Richard Poole.
