WELLINGTON, Jcne 28.
A movement is on foot to incorporate the villages of Kaiwarra, Ngahuranga, Join sonvllle, and the adjoining hill districts into the borough, and is receiving fair support. The City Council called for tenders for working the destructor for one year, but all were too high to accept. The Corporation intend to appeal against the amount levied on the city by the Charitable Board this year, on the ground that Hutt County pays less than it should, and thus casts an extra amount on the town.
The old Maori college at Papawai was burned down last night. The furniture was insured in the Liverpool and London and Globe for L4OO,
