At the Supreme Court thjs morning applications were made to Judge Gillies to issue writs of mandamus to compel the City North Licensing Committee to issue certificates of removal to the Eaglo Foresters' Arms and Clanricarde and Wharf Hotels on the grounds of adjournment, and that the notice of objection was bad. The caso of the Loan and Mercantile Company v. Firth has been adjourned. It was stated that the Court would not be troubled with Mr Firth's counter claim of L 50,000 for damages, and that possibly there would bo no argument on the original claim.
