THE STATE OF THE STREETS.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,—ln your issue of last night I noticed that your correspondent "Dredge" called attention to the muddy state of tho streets. Rattray street is not the only one in Dunedin that needß a few loads of gravel to make it fit to walk on. Indeed the streetsl am calling attention to will need a great many loads. The paths of Queen street north and Upper Forth place are in a state that is simply disgraceful. Foot passengers travelling ou these paths get pretty well bespattered. Hoping that the councillors will see that this is soon remedied—l am, etc, DISGUSTED. Dunedin, June 26.
