LONDON, June 24,
The wool market is animated. Good merinoea and fine cross-breds have an upward tendency.
Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. have received the following cablegram from their London house (Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Co.), dated the 24th inst:—" Market stronger, except for coarse cross-breds, which is weaker."
The British and New Zealand Mortgage and Agency Company have received the following cablegram from Messrs Helmuth, Schwartze, and Co., dated the 24th inst. : " Sales continue animated, and opening rates are fully maintained. As compared with closing rates of last series, prices for good grease are at par to $d higher; scoured, id to Id higher; and fine cross-bred to Id higher."
