One of the burglars who shot Constable Slater yesterday morning has been arrested.
THE WRECK OF THE FIJIAN, SYDNEY, June 2G,
H.M.S. Lizard has arrived from the Islands. She visited the wreck of the steamer Fijian at Tanna, and found the vessel sheltered from bad weather, but the hold and engine room were fullj of water. It is believed the fittings could be saved.
THE COMMERCIAL BANK. ADELAIDE, June 20
The liquidator of the Commercial Bank has issued writs against the directors, claiming L 320.000 damages for alleged negligence in declaring dividends out of capital.

The missing boat, containing portion of the crew of the barque Brazos, wrecked on a coral reef north of Sandy Cape, has arrived at lioweu.
