The amount of revenue collected at the Custom-house on (mods cleared to-day for consumption was L 1,171 Os ocl. It is asserted that a settler at Awapuni (Wellington) cleared LICO this season from a crop of onions taken from one acre of ground. Mr John Cooke, manager of the Christchurch branch of the Loan and Mercantile Agency, has been promoted to the charge of the Melbourne branch.
