LONDON. June 19
At the wool sales to-day 14,000 bales were offered. Prices were very firm, and tho advance was fully maintained.
Messrs Arthur M‘Donald and Co. arc in receipt of the following cable from their Loudon agents, dated fifth inst, ;“ Wool sales opened yesterday before a largo attendance of buyers. Prices for bulk of meriuocs and line half-bred? are fully a Ad per lb above last sales. Tho coarser grades of crossbreds arc very firm, and show slight improvement. It is expected that competition will increase as sales progress,”
