AUCKLAND, June 21.
Application is being made to the Supreme Court for a maudanms to compel the City North Licensing Committee to grant a renewal of the license to the Eagle Hotel, which they refused yesterday.
WELLINGTON, June 21.
Mr Joseph Nancarrow, formerly Inspector of Steamers, died of apoplexy this morning. He was seventy-three years of ago.
