The following ia tho result of the race for the Royal Hunt Cup at the Ascot meeting : Lord Lome, 1; Ashplant, 2; Tissaphernes, 3. An Auckland telegram states that the dogs Tuabit and Mystery have been sent down here for the Waterloo Cup meeting. The racehorses Shillelagh, Artist, Leclair, Kangaroo, and two ponies were shipped by the Te Anau yesterday from Auckland to Sydney. The first two are to compete in the A.J.C Grand National. J. B. Williamson and the jockeys Frewin and Hadfield left by the same steamer. The Australian bowlers who are coming to New Zealand are not exclusively drawn from Melbourne, as was at first anticipated, but will be drawn from clubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Sandhurst, and Ballarat. The trip is to be an official one, and the team will not play in any tournaments, but will confine themselves to club matches.

At the next fence Waterfall baulked, Jubilee doing ditto. At the wall, passing thestandtheaecond time, the order was Oddfellow, Chemist, Orient, Orlando, Premier, and Panic. After this the race lay between the three topweighta. Ellingham rode Chemist hard to try and cut Oddfellow, but could not get on terms.
