The Executive have received ,<i telegram from Westporfc stating that at least three bays will be required by that locality.
A letter from the llokitika local committee has also been received stating that since Mr Hastings's visit to that place LGO more has been collected towards the representation of the district.
The following gentlemen have been appointed a Working Committee at Rcefton : —W. Irving (chairman County Council), T. M'Laughlin, G. Wise, J.P., Green, W. G. Collins, J. C. Craig, D. Young, and H. G. Hankin, honorary secretaiy. The tenders for tho refreshment bars, etc., wero opened and considered this morning, but as it seemed evident from the few tenders sent in aud the small amounts offered that tenderers are not curtain what they are tendering for, it was decided to decline all the tenders received, return deposits, and delay calling for fresh tender} until tho license question is settled and the erection of the building completed. Word has been received from Greymouth that the local committee, appointed as an outcome of Mr Hastings's visit, aro working hard to ensure a complete representation of the products, etc., of the district.
