The special committee appointed by the City Council to inquire into the nature of the claims to be put on the burgess roll that were considered at the meeting on May 15 have reported that, having considered the procedure of the Council at the statutory meeting held on that date, and the City Solicitors’ opinion thereon, they are satisfied that the action of the Council on that occasion was throughout entirely regular ; and that having investigated the nature of each individual claim objected to at the above meeting, they consider that the names of none of the claimants are entitled to be added to the roll, and that they were properly excluded therefrom.
