CAUTION TO BIRD FANCIERS.
TO THK EDITOR. Sir,— l think it my duty to inform the bird-fanciers to be on their guard against being taken in, as I was the last four sales I attended. The first lot I bought comprised nine supposed male canaries, of which only" three turned out to be so. Next year X bought eight supposed males, and only three turned out so. The third year L bought ten supposed males, and only two turned out to be so. Last year I bought five males, and one turned out to be male,and he was asthmatical. All of them were supposed to be guaranteed what they were represented.—l am, etc., A Sufferer. Port Chalmers, June 7.
