The races have been postponed till Monday in consequence of wet weather. Tht barometer has fallen to-day to 28.9, which is the lowest reading recorded for twentytwo years in Auckland. Dr Johnstone had his arm broken yester day in a fracas with John Davis, a settler, at Kiwitu. Legal proceedings will be taken.

Two boys, aged respectively nine and eleven years, were to-day convicted of housebreaking. The elder of the two was sent to Burnham.
