THE MAITAI INQUIRE.
Judgment in connection with the Maitai inquiry was given at Auckland to-day by Dr Giles, R.M., who referred to the unsatisfactory fact that the rock on which the Maital struck was not definitely located. There was no evidence before the Court to justify him in saying that Dapßip Dawson or his officers had been guilty of negligence. After the occurrence great calmness and prdpptitudp were shown. No blame was attachable f<J any iy the officers, who were fully exonerated.
