50 TSE EDITOR. Sib,— Some three or four years ago a gentleman arrived in this colony with the avowed and openly expressed Intention of teaching the colonials in Dunedin, nay, New Zealand, the correct method of transacting business. Those of us who nave been reared beneath the Southern Cross are, I feel sure, ever ready, to learn j and it is at any rate interesting to discover that a handsome salary by no means necessitates even a close approximation to the current system of orthography.—l am, eta., Sugar. Dunedin, June I.
